Smile Power Day

15th June is not only a special day because it is my birthday, but it is also Smile Power Day!

A smile has so much power without us actually realising it. Giving a smile can change someones day, a smile can show someone you care, a smile can even make you feel better. A smile can encourage, a smile can comfort and a smile can fill you with happiness.

What is there not to love about a smile?

That is why on 15th June we should all celebrate with a smile.

To mark Smile Powder Day 2015 a Smile Survey was conducted to see what makes us smile. 1000 people across the UK were asked "What makes you smile?" this is what the results were...

  • 7.4% said "My children"
  • 5% said "Sunshine"
  • 4.6% said "My family"
  • 4.2% said "Comedy"
  • 3.9% said "Food"
  • 6% of men said "Comedy"
  • 13.4% of women said "My children"
  • 18-24 year olds 6.8% said "Family"
  • 25-34 year olds 12.1% said "My children"
  • 35-44 year olds  13.8% said "My children"
  • 45-54 year olds 9.3% said "Comedy"
  • 55-64 year olds 9.8% said "Sunshine"
  • 65+ year olds 8.6% said "Grandchildren"
In England
  • 7.6% said "My children"
In Wales
  • 21.1% said "My children"

In Scotland
  • 7.2% said "Sunshine "
In Northern Ireland
  • 17.6% said "Life "
Seeing these results made me think, what makes me smile?

This is what makes me smile...

Food, cooking and baking

Our pets

Our beautiful garden

Living in the countryside

Our twins

My hubby
